Testimonials
Dave Lantz: "I have to say that I simple love this product and its ease of use. I know that I have only tapped into about 20% of what it can do. In my business I come into a lot of contact with developers and I tell them all, that if they need an easy way to connect, report or work their databases they MUST check out your products".
Daryl Joubert: "I am evaluating your PostgreSQL Maestro product for purchase by my company and thus far I am very impressed! I really like the easy, intuitive and productive user interface and feature set. I am also evaluating a number of other products for PostgreSQL database design and maintenence but thus far SQLMaestro stands head and shoulders above the rest".

SQL Maestro Group is happy to announce the release of PostgreSQL Maestro 10.4, a powerful Windows GUI solution for PostgreSQL administration and database development.

Please consider the list of new features implemented in this version since last official release:

Server management extensions

  • Starting with this version it is possible to connect to a remote server via SSH tunnel using a key-based authentication (in addition to the password-based authentication supported in the previous versions). To establish a remote connection in this way, you have to provide a private key (either in ssh.com or OpenSSH formats) and (optionally) a passphrase.

Since now our software supports both SSH-1 and SSH-2 protocols (whereas all the previous versions supported only SSH-1).

  • This version of the software has been successfully tested with Postgres Plus 8.x (both standard and advanced server).
  • Support for ascending and descending indexes and NULLS FIRST/LAST has been added (PostgreSQL 8.3+).

    Index EditorPicture 2. Index Editor

  • SQL Script Editor: notices and warning messages generated by the server are now bound to source SQL statements. Also displaying of such messages now can be disabled.
  • Support for rules containing several SQL statements has been implemented.
  • Starting with this version PostgreSQL Maestro can execute SQL scripts containing the COPY FROM STDIN statement (like psql does).
  • The Script Runner window can now be invoked directly from the Tools menu. Also the productivity of this tool has been significantly improved.

Interface improvements:

  • Database profile management improvements:
    • Starting with this version it is possible to reorder database groups in the Explorer Tree as well as reorder databases from the same group. You can also sort database groups and databases in an alphabetical order.
    • Now all the database profiles related to the same group may be deleted at once.
    • The Rename Database Profile command has been added to the popup menu. Use this command to rename a profile without opening its editor.
  • Data Grid features the following things:
    • Multi-column sorting has been implemented. To sort data on multiple columns, use the Advanced sort command from the grid's header popup menu.
