Adjusting security options

The Security Options page allows you to request user name and password when someone attempts to access your script or to execute some of the specific actions: detailed viewing, adding, editing or deleting a table/query row. Select the necessary item from the list and customize the respective security options. The detailed description is given below.

The Global Security item is provided for authentication of user attempting to access the whole script. If you want to set some specific security options, e.g. for editing records, select the Record Editing Security item and customize its options within the panel on the right, otherwise keep Use global security selected for this item.

The default No security value provides no login prompt for the script.

Set the Use current host settings option to request for user name and password which should match those you have entered at the first wizard step.

Check the Use custom settings option to specify user name and password to be requested in the respective boxes.

The Use stored settings option allows you to select the specific database and the table which stores user names and passwords, and select the login and password columns from the specified table. User name/password combination should match one of the value combinations of these columns.

Check the Allow user to log out option to enable the logout function in the result script. This option is available only for global security.

Note: Use the Don't show this step any more checkbox to hide this step in your later wizard sessions. You may uncheck the option within the corresponding tab of the Options dialog.
