MySQL Service Center is a multi-functional Windows GUI utility for MySQL server maintenance and data reservation. MySQL Service Center allows you to create tasks for backing your data into a script, restoring data from a script, analyzing, checking, repairing and optimizing database tables. In addition to these functions, MySQL Service Center provides you with a powerful task scheduler, ability of using scenarios, and other useful features.

Basic MySQL Service Center features

Advanced data reservation
MySQL Service Center allows you to perform backup and restore operations for both of database structure and data. Because of its advanced internal engine, MySQL Service Center can operate witha remote databaseserver as well as with local one. Another advanced feature of MySQL Service Center is a possibility to backup databases into the script compressed by internal zip archiver. See the Data Reservation section for details.

Easy server maintenance
MySQL Service Center provides you with a possibility to maintain database tables using native MySQL routines. It allows you to analyze, check, repair, and optimize MySQL tables. See the Server Maintenance section for details.

Use of tasks and scenarios
All the MySQL Service Center operations are performed by previously created tasks. You can create as many tasks as you wish in MySQL Service Center, and each of them will perform its own operation (data backup, data restore, or one of the server maintenance operations). Several tasks can be united in so-called scenario, which is intended for sequential execution of tasks. For more details see the Task Management and Scenario Management sections.

Powerful task scheduler
MySQL Service Center has an ability to execute tasks and scenarios by schedule. Each task and scenario has individual options, which specify the time for execution, start date, and task repeat options. See the Task Scheduler section for details.

MySQL Service Center agent
MySQL Service Center agent allows you to perform operations with tasks and scenarios directly from Windows system tray. Using the Agent you can execute tasks and scenarios either explicitly or by schedule. See the Using Service Center agent topic for details.

Full customization according to your needs and likings
In MySQL Service Center you can customize the behaviour of the task list, select an user interface scheme and set other preferences. All the options and their meanings are listed within the Options dialog description.
